I had been a Christian for over ten years. I’ve had some ups and a lot of downs. Jesus was once so real to me, like someone I could talk to over a cup of coffee. The Bible used to be alive and exciting, like a new painting being studied in a gallery. Church used to be something I was eager for every Sunday. Christianity gave me purpose, identity, and something to work towards in life.
However, I went to Bible College. I read books by atheists and liberals. Rob Bell became a secret love. I became an evolutionist and realised that the Bible was more complex and more challenging to interpret and read than when I first became a Christian.
Now… all I need to admit is… April Fools 🙂
